Flowers in West Virginia

 Roses
In late May roses are in full bloom.  Ritter Park in Huntington boasts a beautiful Rose Garden and homes throughout the state show off these beautiful bushes in their yards.

Rhododendron
These are found in abundance in yards and parks through town.  The vibrant pink/purple color screams that spring has arrived!

Tulips

Tulips are one of my favorite early spring flowers.  I especially like the fact that they come in so many colors!

  1. Bethany,
I love the beautiful pictures of flowers and trees you have taken. This truely is an awsome time of year to see natures color palette on display! I too was drawn in by the rail side of the class, but Steve got me interested in the forest side too.
    Enjoy Spring!

  2. Great choice of flowers to photograph. This is the most beautiful time of year in Huntington. I love to ride my bike around the south side of Huntington in the spring to experience both the sights and smells of all the flowering plants, trees, and shrubs. The pleasant sensations overcome the rough streets that tend to shake your teeth out. I am sure you get the same sensations as you run around the same area.

They do overcome the rought streets that shake your teeth out. :) I love driving or walking around Huntington in the spring and summer time and just take in all the beautiful natural growing flowers. We really are fortunate to live in the great state of West Virginia. Awesome pictures Bethany!
